SUPPORTER OF THE MONTH

DON LOVELL
We met Don on our last road trip through the US before coming to Uganda. We had been connected by email through an old pastor. We planned to meet and discuss partnering our ministries in discipleship/leadership/pastoral training. He directs a program through Campus Crusades for Christ that starts pastoral training schools.
Our first day was a long drive from Texas to Arizona. The next morning our vehicle died of exhaustion, canceling our plans to meet with Don. After rescheduling our meeting to the next day, we received a repair estimate for $xxx+. This was obviously very frustrating. But God had bigger and better plans for us, to show His sovereignty. We finally met with Don and shared the vision for leadership in the churches of Uganda. At the end of our time with Don, he said, "I didn't know I was going to do this, but God just told me to give you $xxx for your vehicle and $x,xxx for your ministry." God used Don to bless us financially, but also encourage us spiritually. He visited JAM in April and we are continuing to work together. Thank you Don for your ministry to us and with us, we look forward to seeing you soon.

SUPPORTER OF THE MONTH

CHRIS AND MACY WORKMAN

Our friendship with Chris and Macy was a very timely answer to prayer almost a year and a half ago. Matt and I were feeling desperate for Christian fellowship in the context of couples at our stage in life. Matt met Chris in the office at my apartment complex about a month before our wedding last year. Macy and Chris had just been married that month and the guys determined we HAD TO hang out when Matt and I got back from our honeymoon. And so we did, and they quickly became some of our dearest couple friends. On our first double date we ate at Abuelos, a Mexican restaurant in Fort Worth. After that, we were hooked on the Workman's. There was an instant bond that only the Spirit is capable of stirring, and over our 10 months in Texas the Lord continued to strengthen that bond. When I think back we didn't even spend so much time together but the time spent was so valuable and had a depth that many friendships never reach.
After a matter of months of knowing them, the Lord moved them to join our support team as our partners in sharing the saving life of Jesus Christ. We are amazed at the joy and excitement the Lord has given them for what He is doing in our lives and in Uganda. We are so blessed by them, their marriage, their commitment to Godliness and to following the Spirit wherever He leads. Thanks, Chris and Mace!
